Powers Art Glass

We are running on one torch now since yesterday we finally ran out of tanked oxygen and still only have one concentrator. Today we made a few videos of each other torching and uploaded onto youtube (http://www.youtube.com/user/JasioGlass). We may put up a few more videos while we wait for our concentrator to come. We are putting up a display at Chappel’s Outfitters in Milford once we have enough inventory.

Here are a few pics of the frogs that live in our yard, the youngest one has no fear of humans but the older jumps into the pond at any sight of them.

My first two attempts of a chaos bead from the Sherry Bellamy tutorial. I was planning to upload a picture of a hollow Andrea and I worked on together but the picture was a little blury and I’m too tired to take another picture tonight. It is a hollow pumpkin with a leaf Andrea made off mandrel and attached at the end of the bead.

We ordered some beadable wine stoppers, bangles and bottle openers that will be up on our website once we get some beads on them. Also going to try a drawer pull knob tomorrow.

Andrea’s father spent today getting a fusebox set up in our workspace to set up more electricity for tomorrow. We picked up a new light for above our workspace (yaaaaaaaay light!).

We changed our plans about farmer’s markets and going to wait till next year to decide about doing some.

Getting tired so last little bit, I hurt my arm trying to pull a bathtub from a wall so I haven’t had a chance to edit a video for youtube, maybe within the next few days, I want to get a video of Andrea’s hollow for youtube

Quick little update for now, we’ve been trying a few videos through my didy glasses with an easyshare camera. Probably by this weekend we will have one or more videos on youtube! Also I’ll post a few pictures on some experimental beads this week.

We are going to send out some e-mails out tonight for some farmer’s markets in NH. Hopefully get a few in before the year ends.

Late October we may start up doing a little bit of stained glass again if we get a saw I may start designing some patterns to prepare and will post some of them here.

I’m hoping to upgrade one of our torches to a GTT Lynx by the end of the year
